The Paper Temptress DT!

I hope everyone is looking forward to the weekend as much as I am. We finally have a little sunshine so it is time to go crazy in my flower beds! Unfortunately for me, I do not have a green thumb so my flowers do not enjoy a long life. I have no idea what I do wrong...maybe love them a little too much! :)
Gardening aside...I want to share my excitement with you. I was picked to be on the Paper Temptress DT! Some of my good blogosphere friends are also on the team so it is doubly exciting. The papers that are sold at the Paper Temptress are absolutely stunning. Everything either gleams, sparkles or feels amazing. My friend True has a wonderful paper pack special for the month of May. It is called "True's Favorites" and right now, she is offering it for 20% off! You get 20 sheets (2 of a couple of colors) for $13.19! reg. $16.49!
If you want a little more shopping inspiration, I snatched this picture from True's blog :)

On my card I used the White pearl linen cardstock aroudn the edges and I used the Azalea Mica/Metallic for the butterfly. The papers just added the right amount of shimmer!

Once Upon a Wednesday...Distress it!

Welcome to the new Once Upon a Wednesday challenge with the Pixie Cottage! This week we are all honored to work with the fabulous Suzanne Dean from Scrap Bitz. Suzanne has provided us with an inspiring sketch and our theme this week is Vintage/Distressed.

I was so excited for this week because it was the perfect theme for using my new Prima floral ribbon! I bought this on clearance at Joann's crafts...can you believe it, two of my favorite words in one paragraph...clearance and Prima! :)

I used the beautiful Simply the Best rose by the very talented ArTish. I simply sponged 3 shades of brown and one pale green and it was done! My papers are La Creme' by DCWV. I stitched that fabulous ribbon in place.

I would love to see what you create this week so make sure to enter our challenge. Michelle always has wonderful prizes!

Tuesday at Skipping Stones Design!

This week at Skipping Stones Design we have another gorgeous sketch from Jen Del Muro. I have to admit, this sketch really made me think. I wanted each layer to stand out without being too busy. I thought that this long skinny journal would be perfect!

I used the beautiful star stamp from the Christmas Swirls set and doubled it to make a flower shape. The sentiment is from the Healing Wings set. I embossed the stars with a gorgeous vibrant blue powder and topped it with an ivory button and this new GORGEOUS ribbon I ordered from Really Reasonable Ribbon. I really love shiny things and this ribbon makes me happy:) I guess I have a lot in common with the raccoons that frequent my neighborhood (minus the garbage of course!)

Make sure to check back because next week I get to show you the wonderful new releases from Skipping Stones. You won't want to miss it because there will also be a chance to win a free stamp set!

Here is our lovely sketch this week, I do hope you can join us!
Jen del Muro, Deb Felts and Jennifer Ingle all were fabulous last week so don't forget to check out their blogs again this week! We are so lucky to have you ladies on board with us this month.
