Here we are again...it's Tuesday! Skipping Stones Designs has a wonderful sketch for us this week. The sketch is from the creative genius of Amy Sheffer at Pickled Paper Designs. I love this sketch, it is simple, elegant and full of possibilities :)
For todays sketch I chose the "Healing Wings" set from Skipping Stones designs. I just love this set because it is so versatile. The set includes sentiments, two full butterflies and one side view. For this card I used the side view. I adore the sentiment "Friends give color to our lives". It is very true and gave me inspiration for the card.
I used very muted background papers and cream rayon thread in the stitching. The only color on the card is the butterfly. I used Tim Holtz distress inks in Broken China, Worn Lipstick and Peeled Paint to add life to the butterfly. I love the way it pops from the page just like your favorite friend!
