Can you believe it, Christmas is drawing near and it is time to start thinking about what image we are going to put on our cards this year. This new image from DZ Doodles is sweet and simple. The possibilities are endless with this image.
For my card I printed the image twice and cut one out, chopping off the ball of the ornament and leaving space for my sentiment. I then stamped my sentiment with Versafine black ink and dipped it in a sparkling embossing powder. Once heat set, it really shimmered. This is a rubber stamp from Penny Black Inc.
For my green background, I dry embossed the paper using a Cuttlebug embossing folder. I inked the raised portion with Versamark and coated it in the same glittered embossing powder. What can I say, I LOVE a lot of sparkle at Christmas!
I then cut out the ornament part of my second image and traced it onto DP. Once cut out, I inked the edges with distress inks and glued it to the original piece of cardstock. I popped up the ornament with dimensionals and...voila...a beautiful Christmas ornament!
Do you want to try out this ornament? Leave a comment here and I will draw a name on Friday, September 25th!
