New Releases at Digital Delights by Loo!

Hey everyone, it's new release time at Digital Delights by Louby Loo. Check out these adorable images Wendy created for us this month! I've used Scrubbie Sue and Floatie. How cute is she?

For my card I printed Scrubbie Sue out on Neenah Solar White and colored her with my Prismacolor pencils and Turpenoid (OMS). I layered her to create a paper tole effect and accented the image with crystal effects and Stickles. The pale blue paper I used is from the Ruche line at the Paper Temptress. It is an awesome textured paper, with a good weight behind it. It almost looks embossed without lifting a finger :) I also used the cappucino Mica/metallic paper that I LOVE. It is just so sparkly and I do love my sparkle!

Come and check out the other new releases at Digital Delights!

Card Recipe:

Ink: Primsacolor Pencils and OMS
Accessories: Sewing Machine, Cuttlebug, Spellbinders dies, Pop Dots, Ribbon, dew drops. stickles, crystal effects

Blog Hoppin with Skipping Stones and a special release!

Welcome to Skipping Stones Design’s special Blog Hop to celebrate the release of two new stamp sets, "Fangs or Fur" and Chocolate Vol. 2. This is our "sweetest" release yet, whether you're a Twilight fan or a chocolate lover, we have something for you!! If you just happened upon my blog today, you’ll want to go back to the beginning at Skipping Stones Design. You should have arrived from the fabulous Erin Grotegut's blog.

Combined with the blog hop today, it's also Skipping Stones Sketch Tuesday which means the Design Team is showcasing another great creation from Teri Anderson. We'd love for you to play along with the sketch. Just remember to use the keywords SSD031 if you are uploading to any online galleries or link your card at the Skipping Stones Blog. We'll be looking soon for Guest Designers so you never know....

I used the brand new Fangs and Fur set this week and I am just in LOVE with both the Edward (above) and the Jacob (HERE) stamps. This is such a fun set. I cut out the circles for my top layer using spellbinders and embossed it with a Cuttlebug folder. I popped up the top layer to make a window and used a spectacular shimmery ribbon for my bow. Isn't that sentiment hilarious!

This week I get to introduce the new Fangs and Fur set from Skipping Stones Design. This set will be released next week, just in time for the Eclipse premiere! I know all you Twilight lovers will agree that Jacob is just yummy!
This whole set is fabulous and has so many fun sayings to go with it. Watch for it!

Now on to our sketch for this week. We have the honor of another sketch from Teri at A bit of this. A bit of that.
I had so much fun playing with this sketch, Teri is just awesome!

Ok...back to Jacob *tee hee* I stamped him on water color paper and heat embossed with a clear (slightly glittered) embossing powder. I used Tim Holtz distress inks to add some color and then mounted him (blush) on Basis Brown cardstock. I used Cosmo Cricket DP and spellbinders dies for the tag and fun flower shapes. I kinda went crazy with the stitching on this card too. I added three different stitches with Madeira rayon thread in gold. I hope you like it and can join us this week.
